How do I stop Register notices?

Role Sims, homeless, service Sims, oh my. Something tells me we're not in Sunset Valley anymore.

How do I stop Register notices?

Post by LizzieDream9 » May 1st, 2018, 12:16 am

I have the Register mod and I keep seeing the notices "The regular clerk couldn't make it in today. Such and such will be taking their place". How do I stop those? I thought I turned off the notices in settings but apparently whatever I did didn't work. Please help. Thanks.

Isn't that the notification for the Store Bistro oven?

As far as I know, Register wouldn't allow another sim over whom it actually has control to take over a role giving object "just for today." If it's not a bistro position like the chef or waiter, I suspect there must be another one out there that the mod does not control either. Perhaps a savvy seller employee or a bakery cashier, something like that? If so, then these notices are not mod-related.

Ok, I clicked on the icon when a notice came up and it takes me to either the Indulgent Bakery or the Midnight Hollow Toy Shop. I guess Register doesn't cover either of those then? Hmm, I wonder how I could turn off the notices if it's not related to any mod?

Register does not cover roles defined by EA Store sets. There aren't that many such sims, the Bistro chef/waiters are another example but Ani's mod usually takes care of those nicely. It would be better for both the game and one's sanity to stop the revolving door on these positions rather than just suppress the notifications -- very few of us need throngs of suddenly unemployed Bakery cashiers wandering about in our games even if we use OW or SP to clean up/manage the homeless.

On the bakery cashiers, I just stopped using them and instead place a generic Custom Role Sim behind the cash register for appearance's sake. They don't really do anything back there, the customers do not need a functional cashier to buy stuff from a bakery and Register does cover the Custom Role Sim.

There must be a similar solution available for the Toy Shop, maybe using Savvier Seller?
