Retuner Settings

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

I have to take back what I said above about the sculpting skill. I have an Artistic child who is learning the skill and getting sculpting related wishes as normal. I also have a child with the Savvy Sculptor trait who is not gaining any sculpting skill (after 2 clay sculptures) and is not getting any sculpting related wishes. The issue I mentioned before seems to be related to the Savvy Sculpting trait in particular.

Very interesting. I wonder why though, the skill book is enabled for children if they can't get any skill for it? Maybe the person didn't know that children can't gain any skill, at least in those two areas. At least the gardening one works. :o)

Maybe I missed this in the thread here but I thought the skills are not generated until the child ages up?

@brappl, my artistic sim who is working on his 3rd sculpture is at level 3 or 4, visible on the skills panel. I also have 2 children with the green thumb who have been gardening and they both are at level 6, again visible in the skills panel. I wonder if some skills just can't be learned by children through tuning changes. Dunno though. I haven't tried to a child learn nectar making (although one recently rolled the wish to do so) or alchemy. My virtuoso children definitely learn guitar points.

Wow, I didn't think I was going to have anything more to add to this thread but I've only ever played one sim who concentrated on Alchemy and I wasn't even thinking of that one prior. He started as a child and his skills and learned recipes did show up for him as he earned them (courtesy of the Children Can mod of course) like any other. I remember being kind of surprised that it was so easy and not a delayed skill show myself, although of course it was a very time consuming hobby for him. As a busy teen, he barely has time to devote to it anymore.

@Brappl and Trey, My child sim was not able to learn the nectar making at all. He could make the nectar, but not gain any skill from it. I aged him up to a teen to see if the skill was hidden, but it was not. He was starting from scratch as a teen in spite of the fact that he made several batches of nectar as a child. I don't know about other skills though. I do know that the gardening works as his sister was gaining gardening skill as she worked it. I'm thinking as the other lady said, that nectar making skill might be hard coded to teens and above.
