When using the "instant baby" option - how are the genetics for the baby decided?

Is there anyway to make a custom baby without using the "Artificial Insemination Clinic?"

I'm pretty sure the mod is supposed to ask whom you want the other parent to be. At least that's how MC's Pollinate works, except that one generates a pregnancy rather than a right away baby. Then how the genetics of the two parents get applied should be the same as any other baby. If you have SP Population and its Advanced Genetics in play, that should be used. Otherwise, it's EA genetics.

Two sims can engineer a baby together at the hospital in Oasis Landing if you have ITF. If you also have Woohooer, v129 or higher, then a regular homeworld hospital can be used.

There are also science center and gene splicing clones (Science Skill, if you have Uni) but I believe those are meant to be single-parent.

Any offspring can be brought into MC's Play With Genetics if you aren't happy with the way things turned out, the two parents (genetic donors) selected, and the genetic blends re-rolled as long as the two parents are YAs or older.
