Taming Woohooer

Post by MadDoctor61 » June 10th, 2017, 3:04 pm

I added Woohooer for a few reasons
- allows pregnancy in overstuffed house
- allows pregnancy in same sex relationship
- allows adult/teen relationships (I'm tired of relationships fading/disappearing when one sim ages up before the other)

I'm not interested in woohoo without the relationship. Getting to that point is part of the fun. I have sims that woohoo, but won't sleep in the same bed. I believe this is because it was not a 'real' woohoo (relationship based) but a 'pseudo' woohoo (allowed by the mod). Is there a way to 'tame' Woohooer so that 'Woohoo', 'Try For Baby', and 'Risky Woohoo' are only available options when the relationship is appropriate?

Hi there, and welcome to NRaas. It might help if you think of Woohooer as a "romance manager," and yes of course in that context it can be tamed which I'll get to in a minute. In fact, you can even arrange things so that no sims can ever woohoo at all no matter what (too far in the other direction for most players' tastes). Your reasons for getting the mod are similar to those for which many of us did at first as well, although KamaSimtra became very interesting for many of us as well along the way.

Two sims not blood related sleeping in the same bed regardless of what intimate things they were doing in it just prior, who don't know everything there is to know about each other, and who aren't both at least YAs, is disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourself. Just kidding of course, this is a game restriction set by EA. Best friends (platonic) will share a bed, it's really more a matter of their longer term relationships with each other in those cases. SleepFreedom is required to remove some of the restrictions, but note that it only works on EA beds from the base game and EP/SPs, not store content or CC beds, and any beds in place before the mod was introduced to an ongoing game will need to be replaced from Build/Buy. I can't play without that one, who ever heard of teens going as far as being married to each other having to sleep (actually sleep I mean) in separate beds?

There is no pseudo woohoo...well, there is kind of from other sources but not from NRaas mods. Rather it's that the relationship factors both short-term and long-term that gate the ability for sims to woohoo are adjustable. Although the mod opens up more locations optionally, and defines Risky differently from not, it's still the same woohoo that EA designed in the end.

For autonomous flirty actions leading to romance and other activities and how they are gated by relationship level, check out the three Interaction Level settings in NRaas > Woohooer > Romance. They are all set to EA Standard by default, which means sims can flirt and more with anyone if the many other factors are right, but they can be more restrictive. Also check out the Liking Gates for Autonomous, under Woohooer > Romance > Species > Human (and the other species), it's 0 by default which is pretty low. And Woohooer > Woohoo > Species > etc. for the friskier activities.

Many of us find that the mod's Scoring module provides options for a much more realistic and flexible system for determining whether a sim accepts an offer to woohoo or not. Under EA standard, the "target" sim usually doesn't refuse.

For user directed, the Interaction Level required to see the three kinds of woohoo on the action menus can be gated with the option Woohooer > Woohoo > Interaction Level.

We don't all have all of these options memorized, there sure are a lot of them, and I may have left some significant ones out. But they are all outlined here with brief explanations of what they do if you would like to spend more time exploring them.
