Game Keeps Crashing

Post by vienibenmio » April 23rd, 2017, 10:26 pm

Hi all,

You're always so helpful that I thought I'd try again. My game keeps crashing at a certain point--I've pinpointed it to 7:42 PM in the game or so. I've reloaded it about three or four times and it's always the same. I've uploaded my script error with the hopes that you can help me fix it. The crash log analyzer tells me that it's a CC conflict, but Dashboard isn't showing anything and I have so much CC that I'm really reluctant to try removing chunks of it.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but my pets' moods are stuck at fair and they don't have any moodlets, and my baking station doesn't have any interactions. I've been trying to fix it with no luck. Not sure if it's related, but just in case.

Thanks!

Hi there. The log you updated is just a routine Overwatch cleanup log, documenting what OW is doing at 3am (or 5am, depends on the world type) every night. Are you sure that's the log you meant to upload, or got any others from around crash time? The only thing odd I see there is that you are one version behind on OW, there were a lot of good things added in v122 recently.

A crash at precisely the same sim time each session could mean so many different things. Let's start with CC since your CLA seems to be complaining about that (though it's not always right). Dashboard is a great tool for what it does, but you can't really draw any conclusions from it not pinpointing a problem. A sim somewhere in your world that you cannot see, for example, could be just changing clothes or trying to use a custom object right at that time that hadn't gotten much or any usage before this, for example. What happens if you remove all of your CC or all that has recently, more or less, been added, and try a test run? The baking station could probably use a re-download and re-install if the premium content object is not behaving right though I would suggest replacing the in-game object first, trying it in a different location, etc. Be sure along the way to not try starting up the game with the Cupcake mod in place but no baking station as the missing store item will cause the game to crash on loadup.

On the pets' issue, I take it you have tried clearing caches by now. What about a test run with all non-NRaas mods removed (and caches cleared again). Or a run in a different world or a new test game to see they do?

In addition to igazor's sound advice, crashing at the same hour is usually alarm related. Use DebugEnabler on the City Hall to Dump Alarms. Upload the resulting log here.

Have you decrapified your bakery bazaar store set? If so, you need a store fix for the bakery station to work :)

So I downloaded the new version of Overwatch and this time the game didn't crash! I'm assuming that's what made the difference. Otherwise, who knows? I did have it in window mode but it crashed in window mode before.

Yeah, I initially had problems with the bakery bazaar so I think I did decrapify it back in the day. I'll try downloading the fix, thanks! I'll also try running the game without mods. Honestly, though, the pets thing isn't game breaking for me, although I do miss the cute moodlets.
