Only maybe for households that have an overprotective dog guarding the place.

To complete the picture, my sims (the above ones, anyway) are not slobs. This is the homeless troupe of two teens and a child in Bridgeport with the §2 property tax bill; I never cancelled the paper on their empty 10x10 because I thought the stacks of old newspapers would add to the ambiance of a vacant lot overgrown with weeds. They are all comfy and cozy in their new starter home now, with a fireplace (fireproofed before use) and everything. I didn't notice if they kept the same paperboy after "moving," but he shouldn't expect much of a holiday tip this Snowflake Day. Well, maybe a cup of hot chocolate and some cookies. I'm such a softie. :)

Haha. I turned off homeless management because my active kids kept building relationships with the paperkids and babysitters in school. Then they'd age up and get wiped out. Now I do my homeless management manually.

I like some of the pre-made Service and homeless sims if I meet one I really like i tend to marry them off to one of the residents at least for the first 3 generations after that I place them in a house if the Town has room

@Echo - Yep, it's the only way (for many of us anyway).

@sittingbear - I do that too. Not just the pre-mades since I never start my game over but also the SP/Register generated ones. Or I pair them up with each other sometimes. But I have to be really selective about it or I'll end up with a population of a 1,000 residents (which my system cannot handle, very few to none of us could) or I would have to double the number my Traveler connected worlds to house everyone once they start breeding and their offspring start breeding.

@igazor I do that too with the SP/Register generated ones I meant to include them but just getting off work and brain is fried cause obviously the pre-made ones won't be around after the first gen.
Sometimes when I start a custom world I raid the Service and Homeless populations of the EA worlds and use them as the starting generation

@igazor: that's actually cute. I used to have my sim make a friend with one of newspaper delivery but now that I have online center mod, I always cancel the newspaper delivery. It's kinda outrageous Maxis had to force those poor kids delivering the newspaper instead of going to school.

@bradppl: unfortunately service kids never appear at school in my game. They only go delivering the newspaper, then after that they sometimes go to festival ground then disappear to the lot. Service teens only came to the formal dance but now I always exclude them from holding any service job.

@sittingbear: there's a gorgeous service sim in Lucky Palms. He's a mailman and I made him a resident, then one and a half sim year after he married the grownup Joshua Gilbert
