Uploaded Two Script Errors

Post by brappl » January 1st, 2017, 1:48 am

Error Trap - I can't figure out what this sim is trying to do or what object is required. I've been having an issue where when letting the game run for any time, unpaused, without me playing it freezes up. Not sure what's causing that and will see if it happens in another world but wondering if this error has anything to do with it.

The Master Controller Invalid Parts Error has been going on forever. Apparently it's harmless but wondering why it's throwing the same error every time I load a game. Could it be something I adjusted using S3PE?
Thank You :)

ET: You have a homeless Resort Worker named Eliseo France in the process of being created (I think) and whose motives are broken. I would TA them if they keep erroring out. But the question becomes, does every Service Sim (whether you really wanted/needed any resort workers or not) do this upon creation. That would indeed create an endless stream of errors as the game keeps calling for more, probably as fast as Overwatch gets rid of them.

MC: Can't be much help here, I'm afraid. My parts don't work as well as they used to, whose do, but I can assure you they are all valid. I have the receipts in a box someplace, honest. Okay, but seriously I bet there's a nifty way to identify the CAS part keys being complained about from those hex codes, NRaas Packer, and waving a rubber chicken around, but the specifics are beyond me. Hopefully the others know what to do there. :)

Addendum to the unhelpful MC observation: Perhaps you have an InvalidParts tuning file that is referencing parts that are no longer in/have been uninstalled from your game and it's complaining about not being able find them upon loadup every time?

Thank you igazor.
After I uploaded the error I noticed all of a sudden about 25 Resort Workers tags at the resort. I have Register set for 1 in each category. I TA'd them all and saved the Resort to the bin for now to see how the game behaves without the resort and the workers. Have not noticed this problem before but then I very seldom play resorts in a home town. I prefer to send them to another vacation world.
MC - LOL My parts don't work as well as they used to either but I often use DE to repair all.
I am leaning towards it's something I must have done in S3PE that is now in my CASP.package file in the packages folder. I'll see if I can find those parts using the key, i.e. bc9d937f9c934e6a in the script error.
Thanks again very much. Your response was helpful :)

You're welcome. On the resort workers though, I've noticed dozens of them spawning periodically in worlds where I have no resorts. I might see maybe one walking down the street or hanging out on a lot as an "extra," the others never materialize on-screen so they don't really bother me. Eventually OW catches and gets rid of them all. I think the way Chain put this once was OW tells the game force producing all of these, "You're drunk, it's time to go home" or something like that.

I guess I would see the map tags too if I really had any resorts in these worlds for them to work at.

It's complaining because the resort worker has no household for some reason. I would TA them.

And yes, the MC error is due to parts filtered that are no longer installed. It can be ignored or the invalid part tuning edited to remove those.

Thank you igazor and Chain. I couldn't get back to this yesterday but I had TA'd the RW's and have removed the resort so will see what happens when I go in today.
On the MC parts issue: How do I use S3PE to find the invalid part file so I can disable it. I've only used S3PE to find CAS items using the instance number.
