Can't clear Gohere Door Options Opening-Closing Times

Post by deesim » December 1st, 2016, 3:43 pm

I added a time for the door to open and close on a community lot but I changed my mind and now want to clear it and leave it open for all times. But when I enter '0-0' or the default time '-1 -1' it says 'The value provided is not valid for this option' and revert back to times I set (8 to 20) How do get it back to the default times of '-1 to -1' and have the door always open?

This can't be the answer you are looking for. But just in case until the real one reveals itself...what about replacing the door?

lol, well yes that's an easy way! I didn't think of that, I just thought there was something in the options to clear the times. Thanks! :)

That works but obviously something to sort. :)

I think this is an amazing example of...well, something interesting. Here we are with computers full of enough mods and what purists would call "cheats" to kill a medium sized moose each and what happens when we are faced with a stubborn door? Do we toss it out for a new and possibly even prettier one that doesn't necessarily need to cost anything or use up any real materials, or do we go at it with some digital tools to make it behave itself?

Sorry to pick on you in particular deesim, I do this too. It shows that, deep down, we all still follow little rules that keep things orderly and making sense in our lives. Or something philosophical like that. I remember how horrified I was at the prospect of copying my sim's house, bulldozing the original, and replacing it when fixing something as a very new player -- but that's not really my sim's bed, kitchen counter, carpet, etc. anymore it's just copies. Won't they be able to tell the difference?

Okay, I'm finished. You can all go back to simming now. :)

lol @ igazor, I thought in this case I was being my normal lateral-thinking self, looking for something complicated when a simple solution was right in front of me. I just assumed that the solution would be within the settings. Deleting the door just did not cross my mind! I could have saved myself a few minutes (*cough * hours *cough*) if I'd known lol
@Chain, Thanks Chain for making these extra options for doors, makes it so much better to set up community lots :)
