One of my Sims 2 Mod essentials is the Community Time Project. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/i ... 462.0.html
Sims that go to a community lot only come back, after the time they have been there has passed.
I just thought how cool it would be to sent Mother and daughter of one of my families (the Farmets) on holiday together and then I thought that would leave the father alone with the baby. But I would never play the father alone with the baby, because mother and daughter would be back instantly. Then I remembered my favorite Sims 2 Mod and thought I'd ask if that would be possible or if it would create code salad.
Chatterbox Would something like the Sims 2 Community Time Project be possible for Traveler?

The Sims 2 Mod basically remembers how long you played on the community lot and then waits that time until the Sims comes home. Because in the Sims 2, like with traveling in Sims 3 the time is basically back to where the Sims left. So if Sims left for a holiday of 3 days, you would play those 3 days in the vacation world, travel home, but your Sims would not arrive back until three days later.

Yeah, heard about the Generations fiasco. Thankfully that never happened to me but read it enough to know that I usually avoid those situations so as not to tempt fate. Definitely love the idea of possibly keeping them in a separate lot to simulate them being away. You could probably lock them on the lot with GoHere and give them days off from work/ or school so they can continue enjoying their holiday.
