Has anyone played Elba Village?

Post by littlelambsy » July 22nd, 2016, 6:56 pm

I tried playing it once but, according to my notes, I had a lot of stuck sim notices there. Has anyone else had problems? It's very beautiful.

I've been looking at that one. It's on my radar. Still building and working on Brightwater Bay and trying to divorce myself from all my legacy families. I portered about 45 of them in and put them all in one section with the intention of getting them settled in and then let them run loose while I started new stuff with other households. Well then they traveled to another town where more of the legacy families and extended family moved, so eventually had them visit back and change home towns. What is it Dr. Phil Says, "How's That Workn' For Ya?"

I've played many, many worlds from MSR and downloaded many lots and never really noticed many routing errors. If you have some interest in Elba you might want to give it another shot.

I was thinking of it. According to my note book under world's, I wrote that it was nice, but moved a sim out because of routing notices. I may give it another go.

With the 7 little sims I'm playing, they paired up with each other, and are aging into YA's. So, although I don't like rotational play, I want to play them all. I have to find 3 other worlds to move them to, and rotate that way.

Sometimes those routing notices are moot. Every so often I'll see the message pop up and when I go to where the sim is they're moving along just fine. Of course if it's the same sim over and over at the same place that's different.

I'll see what happens and if it's the same sim. Another really nice world is Dragon Falls by My Sims Realty, but when I played it, my dog nearly died because it got stuck on the bridge and I didn't notice, until his icon went deep red!

Here's a tangent. You seem to have played in a lot of worlds.Have you noticed any particular features that seem to go hand in hand with good or bad routing? Like, for example, do bridges tend to cause trouble? That kind of thing.

I have played in a lot of worlds and have to have a notebook to keep track of how they played. Sometimes it is bridges and sometimes it's because I don't have the EP the world was built with. There is one world I really love, Meadow Glen, but the routing there was sims in their houses, they couldn't leave their lot. Other problems were community lots. I'm starting a new notebook and I'm going back to some of these worlds and making better observations of what the problems are. I would love to find a couple of perfect worlds that I can use all the time. :)
