Master Controller Script Error

Post by brappl » June 14th, 2016, 9:40 pm

Master Controller isn't too happy with me atm. I've just uploaded a script error...which I caused. There were two items for a baby sim one was hair and the other was a winter hat that was supposed to be in hair. I had one of those deals in CAS where there was just hair with no body or head for both items.

I was able to find the instance numbers with Packer for one. When I looked at the grid info for one of them in s3pe it had things like singed, martial arts, firefighting, etc. in the clothing cateory set at true. The only correct assignment was it was assigned only to baby. I tried resetting those to false keeping only Everyday. That didn't work so I used s3pe to delete in CASTThumbnails and my CASP file in mods and hid the hair in EasyCASP. That worked fine. I'm sure it's buried in a DCCache file somewhere but as long as CAS is not reading it it will have to wait until I do some cleaning in that folder again.

I still have the hair item showing up in CAS in Outerware, Athletic, etc. and I'm wondering if one of you could take a look to see if you can pick off something that might help me understand what is throwing the errors (other than me playing around with those files again, lol)

Thank you :)

The error is not very helpful because an error occurred but when the code tired to log the error, the error logger errored because the core terminated the script. Two guesses, 1 being CAS and babies is minefield and someone's created something that it doesn't know what to do with (not sure if you have a baby in CAS when it errors) or 2,, you have malformed CAS part that is missing it's data for whatever reason. Not very helpful, I know. If it wasn't erroring prior to your edits, perhaps you're better off reverting those.

Actually, it was very helpful Chain. Both your "guesses" were right on target: baby in CAS and a malformed CAS part.
I suspected it was one or both of those but was not sure if that triggered the MC errors or if it was something else.
I was able to remove the malformed part. I am sure the remaining issue is tied to that but is harder to find. I'll dig around later today. Pretty sure I know what I need to do to resolve. Again, thanks a million. You saved me getting deeper into that minefield, lol :)
