I admit that what one sees is a little less scary for some of us based on experiences elsewhere. If only I could get our script driven systems (at work) to play with or do something for TS3...but then I would never leave the office. :)

If you do want to revisit these some day, starting off with something simpler like creating your own tuning files or cracking open already existing ones to see how they work might be a better first step. Unless of course you've already done that.

Wait, create my own tuning files, how do I do that?

Also during following tutorials to create custom careers, it indeed tell people to try open the mobster career to get familiar with xml/tuning file/etc.

That's when I got stuck.

But this is probably the most comprehensive tutorial on tuning files I've seen.
