Problem with importing my settings

Post by peno11 » October 7th, 2019, 5:22 am

Hi, I started a new game recently and I wanted to import my settings. I have to admit that even before I did this, I did not have NRaas menu on computer (which also scared me, I have to admit) and I had to go to the City Hall, where fortunately the NRaas menu was. So, I went there to Overwach menu and imported my latest settings for this town. However, after that, I got a message that scared the s*** out of me. The message was: Reverting to standard autonomy settings requires that you restart the game entirely. I never before got that message while importing my settings. What does that mean? Why did it appear now?

That message appears when you import Retuner's settings. Have a look at the following Retuner FAQ:-

What does the "Reverting to standard autonomy settings..." message mean?

:-)

Geez. Now I feel really stupid. I should have figured that one myself, since I just recently installed Returner and started to play with it a little.
Still, I wonder why the computers don't have NRaas menu. May I mess something when I imported this house from my previous game and later evicting its original residents? I can't come with any other reason as to why that happened.

I'm not sure about the computer menus. Is it just the computers in your active sims' house that don't have the NRaas menu? What about the computers in the Library? Do they have the NRaas menu? What happens if you Save (As), Exit then reload your game? Does the NRaas menu appear on the computers then?

Problem with importing my settings

Yes, after I exported my settings, saved and restarted the game, everything seemed to work as it was supposed to.
However, I faced another problem where two of the Sims I created were not able to communicate with each other. They were able to communicate with anyone else and anyone else was able to communicate with them, but when one of them was selected and I clicked on the other, all I got was Selector Script Error message with name of the Sim I tried to click on. I tried pretty much every solution I've found on the net, but nothing seemed to work for me. So, for now, I gave up on this family.

You could drag the ScriptError file(s) (found in your Documents/The Sims 3 folder) into your next reply here if you'd like someone to interpret it for you. If dragging it doesn't work, zip the ScriptError file(s) into one zip file and upload it to a file-sharing website, then post the link to it here. :-)
