@johannshah, Let see...I had 2 married gay male sims, Jesse and Colton, TFB in the Ambitions' Time Machine several times, as well as travel to the past and future over and over again. From all that they had several children join the family: 2 child sims, 2 elders, 1 YA, 1 teen. One elder, Jarod, I aged back to YA with an elixir. The 2nd elder, Daphne, eventual married a YA male alien who visited one night. The YA, Moshe, married the maid, Pierre, who I had moved into the household.

Jesse and Colton already had 6 grandchildren from previous kids who had moved out as soon as they aged to YA. Jesse and Colton each got a wish to have 10 grandchildren. So I had Moshe and Pierre TFB several times and each got pregnant. I used MC to get the alien YA pregnant by his wife Daphne. And I sent Jarod to Rendezvous hoping he's get pregnant if I set Woohooer options just right, but that didn't happen. So he TFB in the spa rabbit hole with the Rendezvous sim (Guillermo, who later moved in and married Jarod) right after their encounter. Apparently, at the last minute and against my better judgment, I gave Jarod and Moshe the Fertility Treatment. Oh, and both Jesse and Colton had been abducted several nights before and each had given birth to an alien baby. That was a few days after they both had a child themselves (Xander and Yeager) because they are Family Oriented and each wanted another child. So there were already 2 toddlers (Xander and Yeager) and 2 alien infants (1 boy and 1 girl) when I got everyone pregnant.

I forgot to change the Woohooer settings I used trying to get Jarod pregnant through a Rendezvous encounter and the next time Jesse and Colton woohooed, Jesse got pregnant. That was unintended. He does not have the Fertility Treatment anymore.

Several days later Daphne's alien husband gave birth to a boy, Mosh gave birth to twin boys, Pierre gave birth to a girl, Jarod gave birth to triplets (1 girl and 2 boys). The wish to have 10 grandchildren was satisfied! A bit overkill though. The next day Jesse gave birth to a boy who was born on a full moon and due to a mod I have was born a mermaid sim.

Daphne and her family (the YA alien and their son) moved out a few days later. The Time Machine teen, Kimberlee, aged up to YA and moved out as well. The Time Machine children aged up to teens by the time the babies aged up to toddlers. Oh, the 2 alien infants had aged up to children and both Xander and Yeager were children by this time as well.

I took all the parents and toddlers (and 1 infant, the mermaid) to Oasis Landing where all the toddlers were taught their skills and all aged up to children (including the infant). On returning home I had 11 children all in the same household, 2 adults, and 4 YAs, and 2 teens. I played that household for a week while Moshe, Pierre, and Jarod finished up degrees at a homeworld university, and then moved them all out, reducing the household to 9. The 2 teens aged up to YA a few days later and moved out. The rest of the kids aged up to teen a bit later, and then everyone went on vacation to IP, where they are now.

Oh, the last Friday I had all 11 children in the household they went on a field trip to the mausoleum and brought back quite a haul of goods, including a pink diamond, genie lamp, flame fruit seed, several books, a few other gems, and a ton of posters.

Honestly that's my opinion and shouldn't be affected to everyone. Some simmers love to have their sims keep breeding more toddlers and some just love having one or two enough toddlers. Personally I'm not really keen on them as they keep crying almost everywhere in my game, on a high chair, on the floor, in a bathroom, near the stairs and so on.

Okay, great we're all despicable and overly sensitive about our little ones. But let's see if we can get this thread back on topic in case anyone has anything to add or further results to share about energy motive drains.

In the game above, I'm playing with Relativity set at 19. I have Energy set to false under Relative Motives, which I think is the default. I don't find it necessary to adjust Motive Decay. If the children wake up around 6:30 am then they start to get sleepy shortly after 11 pm. Same with teens and older, actually. It's just that teens tend to sleep an hour later and adult sleep schedules are all over the map depending on their job. Children and teens replenish energy rather quickly though. I probably could adjust Motive Delta so it takes longer for them to replenish energy, but I'm so ingrained in the habit of adjusting the sleep interaction to keep them on a schedule that I've never put in the effort to play around with that setting.
