Found corrupt files in DCbackup. What do I do now?

I assume you are going to remove the dbc contents of the DCCache folder first? If you keep this content installed in DCCache and install it again as package files, then your content will be installed twice. The Downloads folder does not contain installed content. It contains sims3packs waiting to be...

Game keeps mass-assigning the law enforcement career to unemployed sims

On an initial run on a new game (well, one that was only around one sim hour old or so), I'm not seeing anything horribly wrong with your SP settings nor am I getting rampant stampedes on the law enforcement career. I did change the speed of progression to Normal, the import seemed to put it at Snai...

Found corrupt files in DCbackup. What do I do now?

I don't think that Dashboard is meant to be examining files in DCBackup; it wouldn't know what to do with package file sub-contents anyway. What you might have there are false positives, but again none of those files in DCBackup except for ccmerged are required. Yes, that is what DCCache should look...

Found corrupt files in DCbackup. What do I do now?

There doesn't need to be anything at all in DCBackup in order for the game to load content, except for the one small file called ccmerged.package (this is to allow your store premium content to work). The rest of it only exists there so that if you export sims or lots with added content for others t...

Legacy files? Safe to delete?

The .legacy files are old saves from the old saving format before patch 1.000something. If you ever loaded one up from the game selector menu or did so now and saved it, they would be converted to the current formats as .sims3 folders (and .backup folders), but the original file would stay behind as...

So Just a Curiosity Question, How Many Hours Do You Have Logged Playing Sims?

I don't use origin or steam to play so I don't have any way of knowing except if I actually knew how much I played the game I might have to have a strong conversation with myself and take my puter privileges away for a short period of time.;) And do what instead, exactly, to fill the void? This gam...

So Just a Curiosity Question, How Many Hours Do You Have Logged Playing Sims?

Yes, according to Steam I have played this game a total of four hours and forty minutes over the past over two year period. That is of course nonsense, but the vast majority of my game time is spent not logged in and unlike with Origin those of us on Steam/Patch 1.67 can bypass the Steam overlay and...

Auto TFB canceling out?

Have you noticed if it resolves after a game reload? And you can confirm the castes are properly setup in the world you traveled to? I went through all of those things years ago; no on the reload and yes on the caste setups. But I can try again at some point. The sims in question were not always te...

Auto TFB canceling out?

Many of us find the link between SP and Woohooer to be unreliable at best. There does need to be age-specific caste support for romance and baby making arranged in SP going in both directions (meaning older caste-Teen and Teen-older caste) for each of the age castes involved in order for this to wor...

Game keeps mass-assigning the law enforcement career to unemployed sims

But we do not yet know what your previous save's settings indicate. Am I to infer from this that you are not able or willing to remove SP or otherwise arrange its settings to revert to the mod's default? Okay, we could try this. If you want, you could export the SP mod's settings. That will create a...
