Careers 88a

I do eventually want to add most of the tunings in the careers XML but pretty much each field needs special code to make sure several alarms and systems pick up the new settings so it's a tedious process. If you do ever find the time a crazy person like me would find it useful. The days worked, hou...

Careers 88a

I have it installed and haven't noticed any issues. Just to be clear this version only allows for changing base wage and required coworkers but doesn't affect pension, right? I've been working on adjusting my sims wages and work hours to add a touch more realism to my game.

Aging years?

I learned to just edit the options.ini file your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 folder. It allows for greater flexibility than the sliders. I don't think I did anything else for aging length.

I haven't gotten any feedback on how well it works so as usual with test versions, try at your own risk. :)
Sounds interesting especially since it's per save and allows for changing carpool types. It will be surely be quicker. I'll make a back-up save and test it out. Thanks!

Career XML's

I believe I got it now. I was expecting each career to have it's own XML. I exported the careers.xml as a package. Now I'm just trying to find appropriate times and wages. I'll probably have to make a spreadsheet or something. After I edit it I should be able to pop it inot my Packages folder right?...

Career XML's

I've been playing around with tuning settings and it has been very tedious, but strangely fun. To end the babbling, I want to edit some of the base game and expansion careers mainly the number of hours they have to work, etc. I see how to do this with custom careers, but I can't seem to find the equ...

Daycare question, again...

I don't have a daycare in my town currently, but I'll probably play around with it later and see how it works. I had no idea that active sims could use the daycare. I don't mind your questions because many times they help clarify things for me. If I do mess with the daycare later I'll post here.

Different schools for kids and teens

I wouldn't use those they're outdated. Jinx had to update all the rabbithole rugs and doors he/she made when the Pets patch came out, unfortunately, the people that re-uploaded those never checked on that. I have to be more diligent about that myself. I still haven't found all the rabbit hole rugs....

Different schools for kids and teens

There are also these rabbit hole doors by Raven Shadow @ MTS. If you want aesthetics. Be wary of custom content, it can be its own rabbit hole. ;) Also, is it okay if I continue to link to other creators? There is some great stuff out there and I don't mind sharing links... There may be a better ver...

Ahh, you kids today...:D
...I think many today do recognize these things but just don't associate them with their source.
I think that is the case with many things. I appreciate your little history lesson. ;)
