Are eyes actually ”broken” in the sims 3?

I thought that the mirrored female eye issue is for the eye design, not the lighting provided in the game. E.g. if the eye you're using has a painted-on reflection, that reflection will be mirrored from one eye to the other. It's not an issue if you don't use cc or the eye you're using is symmetrica...

Hmm. I do think I have a mod that adds motive charm spells for the other motives that EA didn't provide with spells. I also think I added a mod that messed with some alchemy potions. That's at least in the same expansion as spellcasting. I'll try taking those out and see what happens. At least it so...
