The MC version does load at least partially, since there's no issues with the filters being enabled when the settings say that they shouldn't be and I can layer makeup. I am having issues with makeup in particular intermittently changing when I switch to another category and switch back, in the Select a Family CAS as well. With the Select a Family path the hair and outfits are consistently staying set, the makeup is the only thing that ever changes after I've set it. Each makeup area is separate from the others, and if the makeup applied to the area does not change when I switch categories then switch back it won't change until I apply something different. The fact that the changing is intermittent may make figuring out the problem a bit harder (or a bit easier), but it's given me a way to get my Sim's Athletic makeup done.

I've been working on each part of the makeup one area at a time then switching to the Swimwear category and back again. If the makeup's changed I set it back then switch categories again, repeating this until I get lucky and it doesn't change when I switch. Then I switch a few times without applying anything to make sure the area's stable, then go on to the next area. It's tedious, but saving the colors and writing down the order layers are applied and the opacity for each layer has made it way easier. Hopefully this way everything will be consistently what I want when I'm done and I can finally finish recreating my Sim. Thankfully her Athletic makeup is the only one that actually matters for the storyline I'm creating.

On the MC issue reporting page someone mentioned something similar to the issue I'm having (but distinctly different) roughly a year ago. http://nraas.wikispaces.com/share/view/73463486 Maybe my problem is somehow related to that one?

Ugh, I completely forgot about having to reset all of the settings every time you start a new world. Thanks for mentioning that, I wouldn't have remembered that until having difficulties in the new world!

Wish my observations had been more helpful to Juliet though, but I do think that what we have here is a combination of that and also a resurfacing of the issue in that thread linked to from last year.

As for being called a "little beauty," I'm already having a rough week over here so am going to choose to take that as some sort of generally friendly compliment and put any potential confusion down to the fact that, if I remember correctly, we each speak different versions of what is only rumored to be the same language natively. :D

By any chance when you say "working on each part of the makeup one area at a time then switching to the Swimwear category and back again" are you changing costume whilst in CAS.
A standard rule i always follow when doing costumes (inc.makeup)... Always switch to the costume u plan to edit (MC>outfit) before taking them into stylist. Switching outfit whilst in stylist, even when cancelling changes, has produced random costume effects.
As for the "Little Beauty" comment... apologies was not implying you were last years "migit sim beauty pageant" winner :D

Yes, I'm in CAS. So far the only Sims I've actually played in game (it's a new installation on a new hard drive) are the MacDuffs. :) Though I will definitely remember what you said about stylist, I've had a few problems with that in the past.

Well, the Select a Family CAS ultimately did the exact same thing the Edit Town CAS did. I finished my Sim, and I tried to save her to the bin. To check the save file I made another Sim and used that one to load the save. The clothes, hair, and makeup had all been replaced (and I think I need to call the fashion police, the replacement Athletic outfit in particular was hideous). I deleted the save and the Sim that I used to check and went back to my original Sim... and to my horror everything was replaced on her too! She was now identical to the save file that was deleted. I left CAS without saving, since I still have a save file where her genetics and personality are exactly the way I want them.

Both the Edit Town and Select a Family CAS appear to be broken. :/ Does your workaround add the Sim to the active household, MUZZIAH? I may try that to see if I can at least get my Sims made so I can stay somewhat sane while trying to figure this out.

Hello JulietElysa ... I wish I had a suggestion for you but in all the years I've played with MC never had that happen, sorry. It almost sounds like there's some sort of conflict with MC and/or other mod conflicts. What I can suggest/ask: is MC, ET or OW generating Script Errors? Perhaps if you could upload those errors they might point to something that has not been mentioned in here. See How To Upload

If i were to save a sim to the CAS bin. Then create a new sim in the Edit Town CAS and load saved sim onto, generally all but the primary costume will be borked, the hairstyles remain (but if you used multiple haircolours only one will be accepted).

1a) My workaround is simply to take that sim back into CAW via MC>Edit in CAW (on sim). Done this way the sim should load up mostly fine (name and personality traits will not change and will need to be adjusted manually).
1b) A more regularly used approach, skipping the Edit Town CAW altogether. Using debug to make sims on the lot, and taking them into CAW as above.

2a) My old way and sometimes more appropriate. Once you have fully dressed your sim, save to the households bin (this will be my template). Create new sim, take into CAS (doesn't matter which in this case), load saved sim from bin. When back into the world, use the template sim and transfer ALL clothing REPLACE.
2b)Same as above but no need to take Sim into CAS, simply transfer ALL genetics whilst transferring all costumes.

Personally i find 1b the best method.

@Muzziah - (Staying safely on the sidelines now, but still trying to follow along...failing)
Are you sure you meant to say CAW in 1a and 1b?

Thanks igazor. That is of course CAS. Apologies.
