Errors when trying to import MC settings

Post by Tommee1 » September 29th, 2016, 1:20 pm

Hello, I tried to import my saved MC settings and I received several notifications of errors. I have uploaded the script error.

This is happening on import into a different world and not on performing the original export? Strange. Clearly one or more of the settings is being a pain, though I've never seen this particular pattern of errors. I am assuming here that the export from and the import into were done with the same version of MC in place on both, correct?

We'll need a coder to explain exactly why that's acting up. If it's not version of MC mismatch, it might have something to do with custom filters or the ever-strange behavior of the Careers mod's Education custom Uni major (but that's just a wild guess).

In the meantime, do you get any different results if you use Overwatch to perform the exports and imports instead of MC directly or does the same thing happen?

You know.... I cant 100% for sure say that the MC used to make the export file is the same version as what I have now. I dont know how to figure out what version the export file was made with. I made the export file in May and had forgotten that I made it. I have never imported settings before and I took a hiatus from sims 3 from May till September and just happen to see the export file in my folder.

I have not tried to import settings before, but when I go in game I will try it again with Overwatch, while we wait on more input.

It's related to the filters, yes. It can be ignored but those filters didn't import, obviously.
