Nraas menu alternate acess

Post by JefTheReaper » January 14th, 2016, 10:25 am

Hi, basically I joined the site just to ask a single question,
can it be made possible for the Nraas menu's to become aces sable similar to the menu's for the testingcheatsenabled commands?

I've been using the Nraas mods for a few years now and enjoyed them a lot as its a nice alternative to use 5 minutes to clean out the game, rather then restarting a complete new save as EA's programming and scripts cause so many errors, loose ends and infinite loops that the save is bound to break down at some point.

But what bothered me the most with the Nraas mod for so long now is that the Nraas menu/prompt always shows up in my regular options.

long story short: can it be made possible to add the Nraas options to the same menu's as the testingcheatsenabled menu's?
so that every time I click something, my game immersion is not broken as only the default game options show up on screen,
while the Nraas menu only shows up if I shift+click a object (like the testingcheatsenabled options that are only available if you shift+click something)

I know there are options available now already, but it works with a hotkey system, and as of yet I have not gotten it to work at all (while it also seems very counter productive in my eyes as the shift+click options really seems like a very logical option to me instead of having 10 different hotkey's for all those menu's)

Now that I'm typing, might as well just say thanks to everybody working/has worked on the Nraas mods in the past, without these the sims 3 would literally be impossible to play.

Hi, welcome to NRaas, and thanks for the kind words.

There is supposed to be a tuning file available for ErrorTrap that hides NRaas command menus unless you have Testingcheatsenabled on, but I can't seem to get the file downloaded to look at; leads to a File Not Found error. But it only ever worked, if it did, for mods released on or after a date in July 2012.

Reaching out to my colleagues here -- was this turning file recalled for some reason?

Probably purged by wiki. There seems to be a link with that name (NRaas_Common_MenuOnlyOnTesting.zip) within Pages & Files, but the file is gone, not something we can do. If we delete something than the file and filename would have been erased.
And seems my name has been logged as the last person who touched it, can't remember why.

Hopefully our coder has a copy of that file somewhere.
