Issues with Zerbus mod that Master Controller maybe can fix...

I am faced with the last ditch idea that perhaps I need to do something in either Master Controller or Career mod in order to make this work like I THOUGHT it was supposed to, however, nowhere actually ever says what the mod actually does so now I am wondering.
With Zerbu's mod, my sim kids are going to the school lot I placed, proceeding to the basement where the rabbit hole rug is and disappearing at the rug.

Did I misunderstand and all of the things are just for show and your sims don't really actually use the(that somebody worked really hard to make) and disappear? If so, then I don't get it. I don't get why you'd spend your time & effort instead of just keeping your rabbit holes...
Is there seriously no FAQ or guide on how that mod actually works?

You have to click on the wall of the building and the zerbu menu will appear. Then you can add school(primary or high) or career to the building. A rabbit hole has to be present in the world though.

Also, here's a couple of videos on You Tube that might help explain it a bit clearer for you. The second one shows a school setup but the first one (Law Enforcement) shows exactly how to click on the wall of the building.

Yes those suggestions are great. When I built my ultimate career lots they were intended for Zerbus mod. What I did for the schools was to click on the RH rug (which is usually named School for the Gifted), NRaas>DE>Rename. Then I renamed the RH rug to whatever the name of my school was (Cissbury Elementary School, for example). Then I clicked on the wall of the building, chose Zerbus > add school or career > chose add school > Elementary School. Then the name of my school (...Elementary School) From that point children will start going to that school. Do same with Hig school. Then with castes you can disallow teens on one and disallow children on the other...

Sounds to me like MC is for some reason being used to assign the sims to the rabbithole itself, not to the Zerbu lot career. As an outsider, since I don't (yet) use this mod, I am also curious as to what is going wrong there.

But having said that @ladybarefeet, this wiki is not a platform for guessing what was going on in the head of the mod developer or anything like that. How he "feels" today is not relevant since he announced his retirement from TS3 modding long ago. I'm afraid your last post was a bit over the top and has been deleted. Please tone down the frustration a bit if you could while the others here help you find a solution, just walk away from the Zerbu structure for a while if you must. :)

I think I get it. I AM the idiot. So, when it went to the steps for assigning a building, I assumed those were steps that the builder of the building would have taken since when I placed the lot, the lot was aware that it was a school. I figured that step was intended for me to skip since I am not the builder.

In fact I should not skip that step. Even though the lot is aware that it is a school, I see that it still thinks its a rabbithole until I do those steps. I also see now that I can assign multiple careers to the building. I get it now.

I should round up all the other goofs who ended up in the same situation & issue the proclamation about step 3. What is obvious to many gamers isn't as obvious to the others. I mean, I did figure out, all by myself, how to convert, extract & merge all of my packages together without having to come crawling into here begging for pity so there is hope for me yet. I have outdone myself several times :D

igazor, I was not really that frustrated, my tone is of a self deprecating one. I was aware that I was the problem by the developers conscious decision to not answer the questions regarding sims disappearing, in my life experience that is a direct clue that one can only help oneself in said situation. I was right. The tutorial is written for the person building their own lots for the Zerbu mod, and its not immediately obvious where instructions for the builder ends and the 'lot placer' begins.

I've just updated our Zerbu's Ultimate Careers Mod page (finally, after wrestling with the Wikispaces Editor for over an hour!!!) with, what I hope are, clearer instructions.
