Master Controller script errors uploaded

Post by deesim » January 26th, 2017, 11:59 am

There are some strange goings ons with my game, with naked sims running around with no face or feet and now I have script errors from Master Controller that didn't come up before in CAS. Can someone tell me what's happening? I've taken out all recently installed clothes (I think), which was mostly skirts, a dress and some slippers for males (which I think might be the problem). Thank you. (zip file uploaded 'DeeSim_MC_Scripterror_26Jan2017)

Hi PJ --- It's down many pages. You can keep clicking more until you get to Thursday or use the filter at the top of the page. Deselect everything except Files and click on Filter.

Most often that error happens when a category in CAS has no choices available which, if clicking a standard category and not with a toddler or baby, means something is rather wrong with your CAS content. Or perhaps you have a blacklist that's aggressive and has lost all it's remaining valid choices.

@Chain, I don't have any items blacklisted (maybe that's what I should've been doing before). The errors happened when I clicked on the sleepwear category when a male sim split into pieces when he changed into his sleepwear then he became naked with no feet and face lol. I thought it might be some male slippers I installed recently, and although I've taken them out and the game seems less laggy, the game bloats to 3100mb almost immediately and then crashes :(

CAS content that has been removed from the game should no longer be having an affect on it. Were they package content? Have you tried to recreate the errors with all CAS content removed?

The clothes were sims3packs, but I installed them with CCMagic. I wonder, if you remove a simpack from CCMagic, it still shows up in .dbc files, therefore having to remove them from Launcher too?
Do you mean removing ALL CAS stuff? I only removed the ones I installed within the last week, thats when the problem started. I hadn't insatlled anything new before that. The script error doesn't show up anymore, the sleepwear is okay now after Dresser Reroll, I can take the sim into CAS and change his clothes, but the game crashes as soon as I come out of CAS.

@deesim: As far as I understand it, Sims3packs installed through CC Magic are not added to the .dbc files. Only the Launcher does that. Just delete the sims3pack within CC Magic and click the "Rebuild" button. That will clear the content from CC Magic's Caches and from your game.
I believe Chain does mean remove all CAS items. If your game is still crashing when coming out of CAS, that indicates something in there is now corrupted. Even if it has been working fine up to now, clothing/accessories can become corrupted at any time and for no reason at all. Remove everything just as a test to see if it still happens. :-)

@Sarah, okay I'll try it, Thanks!
I tell you, I feel like such a complete novice when it comes to troublesome clothes content, I don't really know how to fix them or recategorise them. If they don't work, they're gone! At least with with mods, if they don't work, I can fix them. Give me mods anyday lol
I'll keep you posted :)
