Install problems

Post by littlelambsy » June 29th, 2017, 1:56 am

3 times I've tried to install a few of my store content items into my game via the launcher but they don't show up in game and lots that have those items are missing the content, even though the items show as installing and say the install is successful. Also, after the install process I end up with all this in my downloads folder... what is it and why is it there? http://s1361.photobucket.com/user/besti ... sort=2&o=0

What is what in that picture? It all looks fairly normal to me.

I have never had all that "dynamicchallenge.... long number" stuff in my downloads folder before. I keep deleting it but it keeps coming back when I try to install my store content again and again.

Are these Store Items stuff you've re-downloaded?

Yes, when I uninstalled all my games then reinstalled them, none of my store content worked so I had to re download all of it. Then when it didn't show up in game I tried a few more times both from the sims 3 site and from my downloads history. I can't seem to get the stuff to show up in game, even though the launcher says the install is successful.

Maybe you have a Hidden Folder in the Virtual Store which operating system do you have?

The dynamcchallenge files have to do with Badges on the original Sims3 website. They are supposed to be there, although I believe they only show up when logged in at the Launcher/in-game levels which many of us don't bother doing routinely unless we have to.

I thought you had a feshly prepared DCCache Folder all ready to go so that such content downloads and re-installs weren't going to be necessary.

I believe the "dynamicchallenge..." is for the badges you can earn through gameplay.
