Can I have children sent to Daycare?

Post by KittyTheSnowCat » October 23rd, 2018, 1:27 pm

Hi everyone,
right now my toddlers get teleported to the daycare when their parents are gone. Can I have children teleport there too? I think it is a bit odd that my 6 year old is all alone at home.
Thank you :)
Snow

Not currently that I know of. That would require a new option in GoHere. I guess you could MC > Open the lot where the daycare is and send or bring the child over.

But odd as it may look, children have the rights to roam all over our worlds on their own as long as they don't violate curfew and they can pretty much take care of themselves. Maybe your child needs a pony or a puppy/kitten so they won't be so lonely?  :)

I roamed all over the neighbourhood with my friends too at that age. But I did not stay home alone. I guess I will just make him walk to the Daycare when he is hungry^^

Sims kids are free range and extremely capable. They can ride or walk all over town, they can get themselves food (leftovers from the fridge, using the toy oven to bake a muffin, purchase food from a vendor), they can entertain themselves, and they can't get injured or set the house on fire or any other things you'd worry about with real kids. :)

I know nothing can really happen. Still it feels wrong for my 6 year old to be home alone. It#s less of a gameplay problem and more of an atmosphere problem.  I wish we had the option to switch the home definition on certain criteria.. I also noticed that Sims that visit a resort often go home.. If home was defined as the Resort during their Stay it would feel more organic. Sam with the kid.. I would love if he would go to the daycare when he needs something as long as his father is not home. But like always i am very picky^^

Yes, mine are also organic and full of nutrients and antioxidants.

Wait, did I really just say that?!  :-o

Oh, I am, too, just with different things. I'm currently undergoing an extremely tedious and in-depth project to recatagorise every piece of clothng and every hair and every accessory because I hate it when townies and inactives show up in pirate boots, a puppy dog hat with floppy ears, a pair of shorts, and a turtleneck (had that happen once, long ago, and it traumatised me). So I totally get the picky thing, believe me.

I was just making a joke about how astoundingly self-sufficient Sims kids are. I was pretty independent as a child, myself, used to roam around the neighbourhood on my bike, could cook basic stuff, etc., but I was nowhere near as bullet-proof as Sims kids! Wish my kids had been that self-sufficient. Would have saved me a lot of worrying... :P
