Go Here and Visitors

Post by Persian01 » February 10th, 2014, 7:26 am

I normally play Bridgeport. I always get visitors at my home when I play there. When I install "Go Here." they stop visiting. I am just hoping someone can look into this. I love the mod, but I like having visitors at my home also. Thanks so much.

Do you have StoryProgression as well? If so, you'll want to make sure you have Push: Allow To Lot set to true in the Lot menu for your home. You'll also want to make sure you don't have a caste with the option Push: Allow During Day set to false.

Yes, I use Story Progression also. I have "Push: Allow To Lot" set to true. I have no castes set in my game at all. If I remove "Go Here" everything reverts to normal. If I add "Go Here" it stops the visitors. It did not used to do this but does now. I want to say that it changed perhaps 2 or 3 updates ago.

Hmm it would be great to reverse this. I was just looking at the Go Here module because I want to prevent all autonomous npc visitors to my "additional home[s]" but from Persian01's post, it seems as if it is a technicality that npc's choose not to visit when Go Here is installed and not the intended function for the module and I prefer not to overuse modules. I read the Go Here interactions and it did not seem to have that specific option.

More info:
When using a purchased as "purchase additional home" house in Island Paradise world on the shorline with beach.

Problem 1: With second homes there is no ability to lock the gates or doors like I can on my first home lot. I am currently using the ugly ticket door and gate and the plain door that also has that ticket option but it makes my house look like a subway entrance lol.

Problem 2. Even with the ugly ticket doors/gate, I still have the ocean on beach lots, where mermaids and others can just swim to the property and walk up the shore, since I cannot put a fence in the water with a gate and still use the beach for the occupants of the lot. The only fence I can draw is technically a stilted foundation but that also prevents occupant access and is an unsightly over correction for a houseboat lot that I prefer to have direct access to the beach.

Problem 3. Houseboat is also an additional home and it too cannot be locked without the ticket gate. NPC's just swim up and climb onto the houseboat autonomously. I turned of paparazzi with Nraas Register but again, this is an "over module" fix which prevents me from using a function of the game. So when I go boating I have to first shut off paparazzi.

Looking for some way to prevent the lot itself from being accessed, like Persian01 is saying Gohere has caused. Thing is I am uncertain if that is the intended function for Gohere and I do not want to "overuse modules" for something if it prevents use of game features I wish to keep.

Is there a way to make Gohere more specific to not allow autonomous npc's on the lot? Is there some module here that I am missing? I am going through all of the module info's and help here again to see.

Thanks and hope its ok to post in this thread, didn't want to create a new one when this one is similar.

It is not intended functionality, no. If such is occurring it's a bug but I haven't been able to reproduce the issue so if it is broken, it remains so. It seems more in line with visitors though, not Sims being routed through your lot.

There's no way I know of to solve the issues you listed. Those are unfortunate EA limitations. Perhaps someone else has ideas.
