I'm trying to download ErrorTrap, I'm playing Sims 3 on Mac and the only mods I'm currently running are no intro and overwatch. I'm trying to download the 1.67 version of ErrorTrap but when I click the download for the Origin 1.67 version a white box comes up and says network error please try again. When I clicked the download for patch 1.69 at the top of the ErrorTrap page it downloads fine but when I try to launch the game it says that I have a game modification that is not compatible with my current patch and that continuing may cause to game to have severe glitches. I've tried to download the 1.67 version from Safari, Mozilla, and Google Chrome browsers but every time I get the network error.

Note though that if you can dismiss the core version mismatch error and continue, and this is the only thing causing it, it's fine to use any of the three ErrorTrap v100s on an Origin install. They are identical except for the part where they need to match the internal build number in the very beginning of the game's startup -- there is no difference in the actual game files between 1.67 and 1.69 other than that. The dire sounding warning pertains to core mods that were made for 1.63 and prior and games that might still be on such earlier patch levels.

Not only I have this same exact problem, but also downloading the version of the mod for the 1.67 version, with the link provided above, I still get the warning message when starting the game.
I'm confused... My game is definitely at 1.67.


SOLVED: That error while downloading comes up because we were clicking on the text itself but you have to click on either the Steam or the Origin icon. And the other error was because, as I discovered now, there's two variants of the 1.67 version, and I was using the wrong one.

I recently downgraded from 1.69 and was happy to reclaim the system resources Origin seemed to be hogging. Last August (2019), I found online a 2009 Sims 3 disk and preformed a new clean install of the game, expansions, and stuff packs (and sorting through and cleaning out mods and accessories). Good to be able to keep the core mismatch notice for actual conflicts.
