Interaction errors when travelling

Post by 20steel02 » November 12th, 2017, 9:56 pm

I'm currently starting my sim's adventures in China, but every time I finish the first adventure, halfway through the second one, my sims' family trees and relationships all get messed up, and any social interaction leads to a game error. I've managed to reproduce this error three separate times through a previous save file, and it always happens during the second adventure (regardless of which one it is) in China.

Hi there, and welcome to NRaas.

This is unusual. Something is interfering with your game's Relationship Manager. Is it possible that you have any tuning mods from other parties in play? If so, one of them is producing a call for an undefined value and that seems to be what is borking things up. Perhaps try again with NRaas mods only in play, and the scriptCache.package file cleared.

If you have no other mods from other parties in play in the first place, we will need our developer to explain what else could possibly be causing that error.

Other than NRaas mods, the only mod I have is from MTS, by velocitygrass, which makes the game store only the most important memories in the memory tab. I also recently moved the household between neighborhoods through the family bin, if that's of any importance. I'll try running the game with only NRaas mods soon.

If velocitygrass' mod is the most recent version, then it should be fine (I use it as well as do many others here). But I do recall there was a huge important update to its pre-made packages it back around the time Patch 1.63 was released.

Could be minisim corruption but looks tuning related initially. Going to also vote for removing all your mods except these and see what happens.

Well I tried playing without mods except for NRaas, and it happened again. i noticed some unusual things my game did, just in case it would help: my sim is the son of leighton sekemoto from sunset valley, and by the time I moved the family to riverview, yumi sekemoto had passed away, and her grave was in the family inventory, which could have something to do with the error. Also, when i travel to china, the family tree labels yumi's home as china, but no one else's. At around midnight of the second day is when the error happens.

Follow up on my previous post -- I'm pretty sure it was because of yumi. I deleted her completely from my savegame using MC, and when I travelled to china, everything went well. I don't know why, but something must have happened to her sim when I moved the family to riverview and she got corrupted. Thanks for the help!

Glad we were able to help in some way, even if it was only to assist with ruling some things out. :)
