When your game loaded up, many if not all of your sims had unrecognizable traits, some had no recognizable traits at all. That drives the Trait Manager crazy. ErrorTrap gets called in when this happens and appears to remove the sims because at that point they are unable to function anyway, so it thinks it is doing us a favor by getting rid of corrupt data (incomplete sims). It's unfortunately not able to clearly ask the player what they are trying to do instead, or something like that.

I'm going to guess that you somehow loaded up with some EPs missing (did you mean to not have Pets, Showtime, IP, and ITF because they aren't there) or you removed a mod that has something to do with traits that this ongoing game had before, thus leaving things in such an undefined state. Sudden and improper removal of AwesomeMod, for example, will cause this, as will a few other far reaching ones. Possible?

It's not a matter of incomplete as in there are still pieces of Awesome left behind, but more like improper or unexpected (to the game) removal. For future reference perhaps, there is a console function included in Awesome one needs to run if one wants to remove it from an ongoing game, it's Uninstall or something like that. But whether one uses that command to do the trick or one does this manually with MC, Awesome includes some custom traits that cause sims who would have had them to become damaged if the mod were suddenly removed without all of those traits being pulled or replaced with something else. I can't remember all of them, Incontinent, Stupid, Teeldeer, Blind, etc.

AM's Supreme Commander structure also uses the trait system and sims who are left as Blessed, Protected (or whatever the AM designation is for these special sims, again it's been a while) when the mod is removed will similarly get broken.
