The notice about cashiers came back but it's not marked as an error.

"The notice about cashiers" does not give us any information. What notice, I mean what exactly does it say?

By the way, I have reviewed the older thread about the Dream Pods. You refused to use the 50/50 method back then and we even had the same discussion about the now older version of Register without the two EPs, but you essentially argued with everything three of us (J4Ks, Chain, and me) tried to guide you through. I am glad that this thread is being less argumentative, but I would like to hope we can get you into an actual solution here. This kind of troubleshooting does take patience and persistence, no way I would disagree with that, but there really aren't any shortcuts other than what we are already offering.

It has a picture of them, a picture of a cash register, and says "Location Merchant: (their name)"

Oh, that just means a new or different Role Sim was just assigned to a cash register or other role giving object. It's not an error.

All right. Because I was also gonna say that it was different each time.

Still slowly working through this. Thanks for keeping in touch!

I've narrowed it down to a cluster of mods starting with I. They're done by a modder named Icarus--are you familiar?

But none of them are relevant to anything happening in the game. One is to ask to join fishing, one is to bring food to others, one is salvaging junkyard objects, one is about scolding which doesn't apply at all since there aren't any teenagers or kids in my house...So none of these would really come into play. How and why would they be screwing things up?

Icarus_allsorts is a brilliant mod developer. In addition to his large collection of mods at MTS that we always recommend highly, he has in the past been a regular contributor to NRaas mods here. He has worked on prior versions of Overwatch, Woohooer, and others although unfortunately we haven't seen him around much lately.

But let's confirm this -- with all of your other package files plus NRaas in play, the problems are gone. When you put Icarus' mods in, the problems return. If so, this means you have an outdated version of one or more if Icarus' mods (so get the currently being offered version of each to replace them) or one of his mods is conflicting with something else not yet identified that you already have.

When mods like these are outdated or conflicting with something else, there is no rhyme or reason as to what breaks or can go wrong. We years ago had this really long round of troubleshooting here where it turned out that the Careers base mod conflicted with, at the time, Ani's Have Coffee With Me. It made no sense, the two have nothing to do with each other (from all appearances), but there it was, they were both trying to use the same variable values behind the scenes for totally different things, and Chain was able to narrow down where the conflict was and fix it.

Regardless, sounds like you are very close to a solution to getting your game going again.

I see. Yeah, when I play with everything except his mods then it works fine. I was able to progress through the game after that.

But I still don't know why it happened or which mod it is. Should I keep trying?

1 - Try getting new copies of each of his mods from MTS. Can't be that many, right? You listed out four of them. Then put the new versions in one at a time to see if the problem returns.

2 - Or if it's just not worth further testing, then play without them.

If there really is a conflict rather than the outdated thing, then...let's see. I guess you would have to keep NRaas and Icarus in as a base and test that small combo alone. If things work, then start the 50/50 over again on it to find out what's conflicting.
