My sim recently returned from University. When she attempted to join the Game Designer career, a script error is generated by Careers. I tried to use Master Controller instead of joining the career at the rabbit hole, but it generated a script error also.

I tried setting my sims nerd influence to -1 and back to 10 to try the pop up window, but another script error was generated. Lastly, I tried Overwatch's "Reset Everything" command, to no avail.

I've uploaded both the Careers and Master controller zips (in one .zip file). Both list "System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary" as the error.

Modules that I have:

MC (v133c):

This one is caused by Shimrod's Career Rehire at Same Level tuning mod or an out dated tuning mod related to careers.

Thank you! It turned out to be a mod I had to add other careers to university degrees. It wasn't outdated, so I think it was conflicting with Academics.

It looks like it is actually an issue with the career itself. I added the Game Designer to the technology degree using Academics, and it gives the same error. If I take it out of Academic's tuning, no error.

This problem exists because the game developer career branches out starting at level 4. If a sim has a university degree that places him/her at level four, the game does not know which level 4 to put the sim at and errors out instead.

I believe we arrived at a similar conclusion about why Shimrod's mod causes it. Good catch on that one
