How To Designate Celebrity Careers without SP Relationship module ?

Post by FrenchPlayer » August 5th, 2016, 5:20 pm

Hi,

I would know if it's possible to Designate Celebrity Careers Above A Certain Level, without the Relationship module, with only the Storyprogression Base-mod please ?
After tried by myself, I followed this : <a href="http://nraas.wikispaces.com/The+Celebri ... +System</a>

I tried with a caste with all levels careers I want for Celebrity, and after with only one career (and her levels), but my Sims don't gain celebrity point :s

I played like 4 "sims-weeks" and I have none celebrity in my town...

I play with 5 expansions : ambitions, late night, generations, supernatural and seasons, and without custom content, only nraas mods (overwatch and errortrap).

Hi there FrenchPlayer,

I might be missing something here, but that little guide specifically says you'll need the Relationship Module for SP. Without it you'll be missing key elements of the caste build and the results will turn out differently as you have experienced.

I've only tested it with Relationship module installed cause it adds those interactions in it, if by chance you get it working without that module, please let us know ;-)

Yes, I know what the guide says, but Relationship module is necessary only for Celebrity Disgrace, and I don't see why I will need this :(

Tomorrow I will search if I can see in what castes my sims is, maybe I have misunderstand how my sims can win celebrity points...

Are you certain that some sims have actually reached the (presumably high) career levels that you have specified in order to be eligible for Celebrity points? Four sim weeks doesn't sound very long if this was a new game with no celebrities to begin with, but of course it's all relative because we all play on different life spans.

But I have another question as well. Why the reluctance to add the SP Relationship module even if that's not the total solution here? Is there some downside to having that one in play that we aren't aware of? I don't think it really adds much overhead beyond the base mod.

Okay, I seem to remember a flaw in that first draft that has to do with "Caste Filter: Match All Filters" (point 10) . If you use within filters "Caste Filter: Career" and/or "Caste Filter: Career Level" more than one Career / Career Lvl, the interaction "Caste Filter: Match All Filter" needs to be on "False".

Reason being, the game doesn't allow your Sim to have 2 jobs, nor can your Sim be in multiple career level (5 and 6) at the same time. It being on True will try to match such filters in place, which of course is non existing ;-)

When I have some spare time, I'll see in correcting that part.

Thank for answer :)

"Caste Filter: Match All Filter" was already on false (by default), in a first time I don't find it because of a bad translation ("tous types").
I checked the castes of my Sim and he is in my "Celebrity caste", and not my other Sim who haven't reached the career level, so it's good no ?

I'm not sure, but if my Sim increases his skills or paints beautiful tableau, he must gain celebrity points, no ? Otherwise, how he is supposed to gain celebrity ?

For SP Relationship module, I read the list of interactions and this not interest me, I just don't want to add one extra mod just for do one thing (in the same way I would disable the carpool but I don't want career module...). Last time I have played to Sims 3 my game was fast become unplayable, so this time less expansions and less mods for a faster game :)

I check in Bridgeport with same SP settings, a sim with the good career can gain celebrity points by impress a celebrity, and a sim without the good career (not in the caste) can't, so my settings looks good.

Ok, maybe a solution : "Celebrity Per Skill Level" seem to require SP Skill module, but it's ok, this mod is good and if I want inactives sims gain celebrity by skills I need this mod for push them.
But I tried, and when my Sim increase a skill, he doesn't gain celebrity points immediately, it's normal ? How this works please ?

If I want increase Celebrity by career/profession level I need the SP Career module, by skills, the SP Skill module, and for the Celebrity Disgrace, the SP Relationship module... I'm sad a module for only all Celebrity stuffs don't exist :(
