My teen Sim is unable to eat the waffles he made. When I click on the food to direct him to eat, all I get is "Clean Up" and "Put Away Leftovers". Nothing else happens: no jump or error script message or anything. This is the only Sim affected. The rest are able to eat their food. I've tried resetting him via the regular cheat and MC, but nothing helps. So how do I fix this? Google only gets me TS4 results or non-answers even for TS3. How do I get him to eat?

Do you have other teens that are able to eat or is it just this one particular teen? Have you tried your game without mods to confirm if this is mod related?

I've seen this issue reported with teens before, and believe it is (usually) restricted to certain recipes. Waffles may have been one of them, mac and cheese I think is another. But can they have some if they create a group platter rather than a single serving? On the single servings, can they Put Away Leftovers and then get the same plate back out of the fridge to eat it?

OK, he will eat if I "Put Away Leftovers" and then get that same plate again. I don't know about the group platters (haven't tested that) but why would waffles and mac and cheese be age restricted? That make no sense to me.

EDIT: I just tested group meals and it doesn't happen with them. I get "Grab a Plate" with group meal waffles. So how does this happen and what can I do to keep it from happening again?

I could make up some strange story about Waffling While a Minor being bad for a sim's personal development, but that wouldn't make any more sense that which we already know. I think this is more widely regarded as unintentional, a game bug that was never fixed.

Thank you for helping. It just seemed like another aggravation after I finally got my game working after having to do go extreme measures to remove some very bad custom content I downloaded from TSR.

I just discovered this when looking through the code. They are flagged as 'adult only'. This game has weird code then there's that.
