I wonder if I'm dealing with a corrupt sim, or if there is something else going on. I hope you guys can help me out.
So, we have 3 families. Family A, family B and family C.
Family A is my active family. Both family B and C have just 1 sim living there.
The problem occurred when I took sim B and tried to put him into house/tent of sim C: I pulled out sim B and tried to merge him with sim C, the menu appeared no problem. Then when I clicked ok, I suddenly got a message that my active family wasn’t active anymore! Family B and C also weren’t merged. Sim B wasn’t in the house of sim C, and sim B was still on the left upper corner.
After this I tried again right after and sim B merged with C. I didn’t save though and went trouble testing.
I loaded earlier save and did reset town first, still same issue. I then did fix invisible outfit on the sim, still same issue. I went to earlier save, still same issue.
It’s not even that I never moved the sim (B) out before either. I had moved him before once and no problem. I tested and he is also the only sim who did this.
To be save I saved his looks into CAS and made a new replacement, and not there is no problem. I however would like your guys opinions what was going on? Was he corrupt? Is my save corrupt? Is my lot corrupt?
Am I dealing with a corrupt sim?

I have no idea what went wrong there, but if Edit Town's merge function was being fussy on me I probably would have used MasterController's Add Sim to get Sim B to join Sim C's household. That wouldn't have given Sim B credit for the sale of their house and as an abandoned property it would have returned its ownership to the town, but things like that can be adjusted with further MC commands.
Another approach, do you have Mover? While this isn't exactly what it's designed to fix, it does replace the Edit Town split and merge functions with its own that perhaps work a bit more reliably.

I totally assumed the sim was broken and made a new one with his looks, didn't even think of doing something with MC to add him instead.igazor wrote: ↑May 11th, 2019, 12:56 pmI have no idea what went wrong there, but if Edit Town's merge function was being fussy on me I probably would have used MasterController's Add Sim to get Sim B to join Sim C's household. Probably nothing much if that was the only symptom and you were able to move past it by replacing the sim with a fresh copy.
