Is there some way to keep my active Sims from putting the guitars into their personal inventories when they are done playing or when I tell them to stop?! This is so annoying to me! There are certain instruments they never do this with, but the various guitars always seem to "disappear" from the music room and end up in their inventories. I have many musical sims in my household and I'd rather they didn't carry them all over! Mainly because they often stop everything else to play the darn things especially when they are away from home! Generally when they are away they actually visit with other sims, if they have instruments on them they never want to do anything but play!

I don't think there is a way to stop that especially with sims that has traits like Virtuoso, Artistic and/or the skills for those instruments it's part of their personality.

Most often they do it when there is not enough space in the room. I mean, there must be plenty of room to play an instrument without moving it. At least that's what I know from my own experience. I think you'll have to put all the musical instruments in their place with your own hands. By the way, your case is not worst. I've seen some inactive sims steal tools from public lots.

And to Sara_Darkees, there's plenty of room and they often play right there in the room with the piano too, but they never put it back, just pocket the thing. Bug guests generally do put it back where they get it. It also bugs me they never put the bass back, but at least they don't swipe it! Good thing they don't swipe that or the Grand Piano. LOL I've never had them take the electric one either, generally someone just ends up with one in their inventory when you leave to play another family.
