Too short on a floaty

Is it just me..? Inactive sims in my world use those floaties for literally just a sec and goes back into water and they repeat this sometimes... is it just another glitch? Hope they stay longer on those floaties

It's not just you. In my games it happens nearly every time an inactive gets on a pool float.
