I've been searching through custom worlds for some time now, but I thought I ask here if anybody has any suggestions. I'd like to start a game with clearly separated rich area and poor area. The elite would live in gorgeous mansions or castles, whilst the unfortunate population need to survive on harsh area without like proper houses, maybe in tents or on the street next to dump or such. I need this kind of world for my legacy, but it's hard to find a convenient one (if there are any).
Thanks in advance for tips or suggestions!

I'm sorry, I don't know about user worlds, but the official town Lucky Palms is a world divided into rich and poor.

Unless you plan on having your active family live in a tent or empty lot that won't work. The game won't allow inactive residents to live on a lot without the basic necessities of at least 1 double bed (for couples they need one) and single beds for the others, fridge, stove, toilet, shower, some other furniture to sit on. You can give them cheap sparsely furnished homes with just the basics and throw in a cheap TV or radio so their not totally bored but they have to have something to live in.

Why "won't allow"? The needs of sims are automatically restored at home at eight in the morning. They don't care about refrigerators and beds if we don't watch them. But for realism, all these objects are necessary... I still haven't redecorated some of the houses in my town. Toddlers grew up and now they, in theory, have nowhere to sleep. But nobody complains.sittingbear wrote: ↑February 17th, 2019, 9:44 pmThe game won't allow inactive residents to live on a lot without the basic necessities

The game randomly picks a couple of inactive households daily to stimulate them meaning they are active Tagger shows me this when I see things like watching some TV station, taking a nap, sleeping till 6am, showering, making Autumn Salad, playing online game etc....Sara_Darkees wrote: ↑February 17th, 2019, 9:56 pmWhy "won't allow"? I don't know if this site will help but it has a ton of really interesting stuff. It has many worlds, and stuff like cave type houses, tent houses and a lot of stone age stuff. It took me days to go through it but love the content. Its in German and needs free registration. I use Google Translator to translate the site.

Some of that is pretty interesting. It provides the illusion of squalor while providing proper housing so the game doesn't complain.littlelambsy wrote: ↑February 19th, 2019, 12:44 amI don't know if this site will help but it has a ton of really interesting stuff. That's what I thought. It also has some very nice worlds. But you need a few days to scroll through it all.

Items are amazing, but I thought the official items are enough to equip the necessary atmosphere. In TS3 a huge variety of textures, with which we can portray the decay on the walls, the firing on the furniture, mold on the bath and and so on. For completeness, we can add generators of cockroaches or termites. I think the content from that site is more suitable for creating a harsh medieval or earlier period. But who knows what the author of the topic imagined for himself. And did for characters so need a bed? They're quite good can sleep in a tent or in a sleeping bag.littlelambsy wrote: ↑February 19th, 2019, 12:44 amI don't know if this site will help but it has a ton of really interesting stuff. I got a stone bed made with slobs of stone and an animal skin blanket for sleeping outside, also hammocks etc. From that side. I even found a cutout log crib.
