A few random questions...

First: In IP, Who is Cara Dregg and why can't I get rid of her? I tried the TA through Nraas and then at 3am she was found and restored again as a missing sim. Pffft! This occurred 3 times now. I stopped deleting her and will pretend she doesn't exist! :P Is she some important ghost to the island? Is there a back story that I can't seem to find and read about her? She annoys me and ghosts are dumb. Okay, sorry, just kidding and no offense to people who like ghosts...I tried to play with them in my game and really it's just too strange for me. In my games they are only good if it's a family member and I want to bring them back to life with some Ambrosia.

Second, Is there some way to find out where a lot of sims are hanging out, I mean other than just looking around town? That hot-spot crap you read in the paper or see when you enter a venue is total BS. I've had sims say a venue is dead and there are like 12 sims in there dancing and playing games..etc and then I've had it say it was "hopping" and there's like one person on the dance floor....whatever. Just wondering if there was some trick I could use to see where most of my sims are in town for when I'm feeling like having my sim be really social. Generally they are at parks or sometimes the shows, but this isn't always the case during certain times of day. No biggie if not...just curious.

Third: When I was in 'Edit Town', prior to my recent move to the new PC and adding the new EP, all of the buildings, sims and venues that I personally created were all listed first, going from left to right in the menu, but now they are all at the end of the list. Is there some way I can reverse that? I know I can just show special content, but I want to see my stuff and what EA has, but I like to sort through my own creations first. Also, can I remove any of EA's buildings or venues in that list that I know I will never use? If only to get them out of my way?

1 - No idea who she is. But as she is dead when the game begins, have you tried locating her grave and deleting that after TAing her or does that not stop her from reappearing either? It might be her connections to other sims still living (or not) that are keeping her around, though.

2 - Tagger can be set to display map tags for all sims in town so you can see where everyone is. You don't have to keep that feature on all of the time if you don't like it, but I can't imagine playing without it now. It used to be an optional feature of StoryProgression, but was moved to its own mod for various reasons including to relieve stress on SP's operations.

I believe that the hot spot designation will increase the chances that other sims will join yours if you go there, but it's really more of a prediction than a factual report.

3 - There isn't much flexibility there. The order that you are seeing would be the creation order of the items. The ones you created and saved to the bin (these are Library files, the ones with the cryptic hexadecimal names) are now older than the pre-installed ones because you re-installed the game on a new system and presumably brought your older creations over, thus they should show at the end of the lists rather than at the beginning. Mine are all mixed up because I was adding lots/households and EPs at the same time over the years.

You could try making copies of all of your Library files individually, thus causing the copies to have brand new creation dates, and that should force them to the front of the list again at least until you install another EP or some other fresh EA content. Sounds like a lot of work, though.

One of my sims was a ghost. I really liked her, except for some strangenesses, I guess she was corrupted. But one strangeness looked good, for example, she walked and ran like normal characters. I wonder if it's possible to do it on purpose. I had a similar problem when sim rose from oblivion. This happened for the reason that I opened sim in CAS and saved to the library. But maybe you have another reason. Cara Dregg is a ghost and ghosts, if I'm not mistaken, are generated from the grave. Did you remember to remove her grave? When I installed the SP, I was able to see all sims on the map. I didn't find where to disable this option, in addition, I'd not do it, because I really liked this option. You had that option, too, didn't you? About the last question I'm not sure, but maybe it depends on the date of saving lots. You can always hide lots and families you don't like, I don't think you should remove them from the add-ons root folder.

The map tag feature is no longer part of SP on current versions. It was removed and spun off into Tagger. The two systems, the older SP one and the newer Tagger one, would not work properly together as they would keep fighting each other.

The movement of sims in the town is still a mystery. In my case, there are a lot of truants, because the game pushes them to hang out in the most popular place. This is wrong, because work should be a priority. It's a little depressing to see an empty town, but someone has to imitate work for the good of society. But some sims are good and conscientious, they try to go to work, but given that someone hangs in the most popular place, and someone is working hard, there are very few sims that will follow the controlled characters. And yes, thanks for the clarification about the sims on the map.

As for the EA lots in Edit Town that you never use, I found a feature the other day that enabled me to hide them.

When you click on the thumbnail of the lot and get the box with the description, there is a strange looking button to the left of the asterisk. With the EA lots, there is the option to hide the lots. If you want to 'unhide' them, there is the same symbol to the left of all the thumbnails, with the option to unhide them.

I hid all the copious quantities of festival grounds and parks that came with Seasons.

She's a Resident Playable Ghost not a graveyard ghost so she doesn't have a grave.

Cara Dregg and why can't I get rid of her?
You can try moving her into your household or make another household active temporarily and then when in control of her click on her gravestone and choose Return to the Netherworld and take her tombstone to the graveyard and leave it there.

Ah, then I'm sorry. The dead among the living are really annoying. Sending them to the afterlife is the great solution. But it had to be done before the incorrect removal. Yes, I know the player probably did everything right, but for some reason the game kept the remnants of that character, so it's better to try to use a backup if ErrorTrap doesn't delete her permanently after the next save load. I decided to visit the Wiki to find out who the character was. Quite a nice girl, I'd be sad to get rid of her.

You can stop ghosts from spawning by City Hall > Nraas > Retuner > Settings > General > by XML > Sims3.gameplay.Objects > Urnstone > kSpawnChance = 0

So if you find this playable ghost, follow the suggestion by sittingbear, then stop ghosts from spawning with Retuner. See if that works.

Thanks, that one I never thought about, but will it also keep me from getting any ghosts? As I stated I don't mind seeing them now and then, like in the graveyard or sometimes I keep their tombstone on the lot if I plan on bringing them back via Ambrosia.

BTW: I while back I posted that I was having trouble getting a ghost to eat the Ambrosia his wife made for him, it turned out he wasn't eating it because the house had 8 sims! I have the mods all set to allow up to 12, but apparently that doesn't allow for sims to be pregnant or ghosts being brought back to life to live there. Once I got the household back down to 7 he ate the ambrosia the next night. Also, this is the same sim I was having issues with woohoo, he and his wife, turned out my stupid self had elders set to not be flirty in SP. IDK how that happened, but I must have clicked wrong, I was just trying to avoid flirting between YA and elders. Sheesh! Got that fixed too! I just did it for my active lot because grandpa was hitting on his step-grandkids and it was freaking me out. :-o But that is why all the other elders in town could woohoo but not my "main" family.
