I don't think I had the restocking issue with the bottom shelf yet though. Does it happen every time you restock?

I'm not sure but I don't think so. I've noticed it mostly when selling/restocking ingredients items, like apples, potatoes and onions etc. I don't believe it happens with objects from Buy Mode but can't remember exactly as I haven't actively played one of my shops recently, sorry. :-)

I love these pictures! One of the things I love about Sims 3 is how unique everyone's neighborhood is. It always fascinates me and I love seeing pictures of others.

I am also (slowly) building my hood and I'm finding it great fun. I'm a terrible builder though, and tend to download lots I like and then redecorate to my liking. I just need a shell, because my goodness roofs are my nemesis.

I really like your grocery store - it reminds me of a cute, homey town. I'm going to check out your blog when I have time!

@igazor - I would love a place for people to post photos of their builds, sims, etc. Sometimes I feel Sims 3 can be a very isolating game. and seeing what others are doing really sparks my interest and creativity.

I am also, but I like architecture so I try my best. I use two websites for inspiration in my builds.

https://www.windermere.com/buying_and_s ... ral_styles
http://www.greatbuildings.com/types.html
The top link I use for my residential style lots and the bottom link for commercial lots. It also is great if you just have a casual interest in history and things of that nature. Landscaping is my main nemesis and in many cases it's what brings a lot together in my opinion.

It's about the town as a whole or about decorating the courtyard? When you get the hang of it, it gets easier to decorate. It even brings pleasure, at least when everything goes according to plan. At least, for example, I always hated the plants. I mean, they're generated in different sizes every time. It's realistic, but the developers could make a choice of their size so that some players don't suffer.

For an individual lot it's hard for me to decide which trees to put partly because I have few options for trees in my game right now. I'll look into some custom content ones and find the realistic tree mod so the ones I have don't fade. I know what you mean with the plants...I usually slap down a lot of them and then pick the size I need. I'm not sure if using the eye-dropper tool retains the size of the plant but I'll check it out. It would be much faster than my current method.

Yeah, I had to plant a whole group of trees or bushes to eventually choose the right ones, too. Pipette won't change the situation. I have noticed that the vegetation in your town is quite varied and the town looks a bit tropical, especially because of the forest behind the playground. But maybe you should try to divide it into sections that smoothly replace each other? The center can be any, the main thing that it looked the most ennobled. No jungle and sinister dry branches, only neat trees, shrubs and flowerbeds. And on the outskirts there is a drought or high humidity. Such places are most suitable for the settlement of hermits, and there you can equip a landfill, or something mystical, criminal... Well, it depends on your desires and fantasies. Ah yes, I like to look at some buildings from a bird's eye view. I check how they harmonize with the district as a whole. Low-poly pigeons, flying over the town, must be in delight :D

@Sara_Darkess I'll take all that into consideration. I haven't been playing much, so hopefully this weekend I can get at lest 2 or 3 lots completed.

Image
I built the city hall on the left and the other building is the fire station from pets, but I made an addition in the same style. I'll probably change it because the other city buildings are much more modern.
Image
The library also benefited from the addition of some landscaping. I've been having a lot of fun building...when it comes time to furnish some of the buildings that probably will be the least interesting.
Image
No landscaping in this one, but I made an addition to littlelambsy's UC hospital as well.

I have long wanted to tell you that I, in general, like everything, except the little shop. The roof over the curved wall spoils everything. Pick something else. And I don't know what you're trying to do, but your pictures don't show up here. Maybe you should use links or choose another photohosting? It's not hard for anyone to visit you on Tumblr, but I thought you also wanted to show the pictures here.

Sara_Darkees - While I am curious as to why the OP's embedded linked images are not showing up correctly on your end, I will ask you to kindly stop telling them that they are not posting things correctly. As already mentioned, they look fine to me and apparently to others. The source code for their posts indicate they are using the img tags (or the built-in editor) as intended. I'm sorry that they do not appear for you, but it doesn't seem to be an issue on their end.

Can you see any embedded linked images at all in our posts or is it just the ones above or ones from Tumblr that are giving you issues?

Example, from MediaFire not from Tumblr:

igazor, from the very beginning I asked if this was only my problem. I apologize that your message where you told that pictures are linked to from Tumblr, I understood not absolutely correctly. As a result, I had to go thither every time to see the updates. But I still don't see the pictures the author of this topic. And your guinea pig I see perfectly.
