Disable social group notifications??

Post by beartuthh » December 14th, 2018, 10:57 am

Is there any way to disable social group notifications from university? My sim is laying in bed and apparently that makes him a jock. Lol. I guess it’s some kind of glitch, but getting tired of them in general so just wondering if there’s a way.

Disable social group notifications??

None that I know of, though there may be a mod from another party out there that addresses these. I'm moving this thread into Chatterbox because it has nothing to do with MasterController, I'm afraid.

And although maybe unwanted, it's not necessarily a glitch. If the game has decided that your sim knows or has friendly relationships with more sims, no matter what your sim was or wasn't doing at the time, and if any of them are jocks, then your sim's social group status will improve. If such relationships have decayed, or if your sim is sliding backwards on the scale due to the passage of time since performing any jock related actions, then their social group status will stand to change in the other direction.  :)

Disable social group notifications??

You might be able to do that with a tuning mod of the skills.xml.  I'm currently testing that out in my game, but not rigorously so no conclusions if I've been successful or not.  The problem with modding the skills.xml is that other mods do so as well (like the Children Can mod).  I don't know if anyone else has released such a mod to reduce or eliminate social group notifications, but if you find one definitely check for conflicts.

Disable social group notifications??

Hi all, after many years - it still really annoys me - I want to disable ALL social influence skill gain NOTIFICATIONS.
I don't wanna disable the influence and skill gain in general, so where is this little damn thing located?

Is it not possible to tune this, or at least like display notification message when skill gain is more than 1000 or something like that?

I checked now the social influencing skill gain notifications start at level 0 and end with level 2, so I will now give level 2 with MC the moment they pop up and then no messages bother me anymore.
This is only for my active sims (and I have a lot), for other households I don't get them.

It is not what I was looking for, but better than deactivating the whole thing :)

Disable social group notifications??

I want to disable those notifications too, but haven't found a mod for that. But I have a mod that disables the social group effects that are so annoying when taking screenshot. In case someone wants it: https://modthesims.info/d/523612/social ... -blur.html

Other annoying notifications are the ones from the NRaas ErrorTrap mod. Everytime ErrorTrap does something there is a notification, and then another one saying "ErrorTrap Recorded 1" I wish it would just run in the background and keep quiet!
