What would cause a very large number of scrip errors?

Post by LaBlue0314 » February 20th, 2016, 7:38 pm

I just started a brand new game file in Bridgeport. Normally I'll get a script error her and there, and most of the time I can figure it out. But on this game files I'm getting a huge number of script errors with everyone, NPCs, the household I'm playing, and every sim that is in town. Well maybe not everyone, but quite a few. What are some of the common reasons that would trigger scrip errors?

It could be a few things if you had placed and removed lots. Remodeled any lots. You might want to upload those so someone can tell you what's happening

We would need to see those ScriptErrors to give you some directions as Namaradus said, but this one is rather easy a new Bridgeport (EA default world map), would mean that every Bartender are glitching out due to the release of EP IP, which changes the behavior of and interactions with any Professional Bars in your BP town.

You have 2 choices;
1. Replace every Professional Bar in your town with a new copy from the buy catalog (don't copy with the eyedropper tool).
2. Still in testing, try the new <a href="http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Overwatch+T ... >Overwatch 122c</a> which should solve the Professional Bar issue.

As to what else, here's the guide How To Upload.

It may not be the Pro Bars I've never had any problems with them or had to replace there was a lengthy discussion about them http://nraas.wikispaces.com/share/view/77284573
But I'm not saying they couldn't be the problem

But the biggest problem I did have with Bridgeport was when I let Register auto-assign Role Sims some of them would get stuck in the Highrise building shells for some reason they spawned that way and I got a ton of script errors for that I found a way around it by assigning roles manually

Had a lot of stuck sims, as namaradus said, before using "My Bridgeport" in this thread: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/share/view/77284573
The town is empty, which allowed me to remove doors to vacant Service sim apartments, etc. I was able to redo many highrises to give them more room, etc. , before starting my game.
I used porter to bring original Bridgeport members to the town. Had to spend some time getting them into their original or appropriate homes. But, it was worth it! Less drag, less stuck sims etc.
Having a blast with "My Bridgeport", with the addition of some Italian friends from Monte Vista.
