Plumbot- Ask for Tune Up?

Post by ladybarefeet » July 18th, 2016, 7:58 pm

Several of my households have plumbots, but I might not want a member of each household to have to work on Bot building, so is there a way to make it so the Plumbot can go visit the Ironman house to ask Tony Stark for a tune up? So far, I dont see any mods or settings that are obvious in Retuner... Anyone have ideas? I guess I can cheat the plumbot itself to be a botbuilder, but I would rather have them go someplace for the tune up.

Plumbots can do a self tune up, but that won't increase quality level no matter what the plumbot's bot building skill level is. They'll need another sim (or plumbot) of high bot building skill for that. If you have more than one plumbot in a household, I think they could raise each other's quality level through tune ups depending on their bot building skill level. I don't know of a lot or rabbit hole where a plumbot can go to get a tune up which can potentially raise quality level.

Sorry for the double post but I forgot something: you can cheat the plumbots about 25k-30k lifetime happiness points and get Maintenance Master. They'll never need a tune up again unless you are trying to increase quality level. You'll have to look up the exact amount of points, I don't remember off-hand.

I know master controller can cheat us to increase quality, but I didnt know they had different options for Lifetime Happiness. I still learn new things about this darn game.

I dont see any such LTR as Maintenance Master. But, I know it can have a Handibot trait chip, which this plumbot has. It can tune itself up but not repair itself.

It should there try making the Plumbot active and check using the bot it costs about 15,000 Lifetime Happiness points

Yeah, namaradus is right, it's only 15k. I just got it for the plumbot in my current household. The LTR won't show up for non-plumbot sims. The maintenance meter will eventually freeze at the 50% mark after you get Maintenance Master, which I initially found confusing. Bu it won't decrease or increase, the maintenance level is frozen with that LTR..

The handibot trait chip doesn't affect the plumbot's ability to tune itself up. All plumbots have the self tune up interaction. I don't know what you mean by "...but not repair itself." I've never had a plumbot need a repair.

My plumbot needed repairs is what it said. It had a bad moodlet from being in poor condition. So, I cheated her to best quality with MC. Problem went away lol
