I admit that what one sees is a little less scary for some of us based on experiences elsewhere. If only I could get our script driven systems (at work) to play with or do something for TS3...but then I would never leave the office.
If you do want to revisit these some day, starting off with something simpler like creating your own tuning files or cracking open already existing ones to see how they work might be a better first step. Unless of course you've already done that.
