Most of the stuff you should know and probably some you shouldn't.

Return To Service Of File Uploads

Following some relief from DDOS attacks, I was able to relaunch file uploads. You can click Upload to browse our library of files and download them. With this ability returned I will be able to restore minor things like tuning files much faster and have started on that process. However returning them to the mod pages will take a bit longer.

Note the Files folder only accepts 7z,gz,rar,tar,tgz,zip files. Images accepts bmp, gif, jpeg, jpg, png. And ScriptErrors accepts xml.

Please do not upload anything via the file browser unless requested. We are not a file hosting service.

The posting editor now accepts drag and drop file uploads and will sort them into the correct folders for you. While you can use this for image uploads, please make sure they are relevant to something you might need help with or they will be deleted. It is generally recommended to use other 3rd party image hosting sites and manually inserting them via the image button on the editor.

You can upload script errors by dragging and dropping the xml files on the editor. It will upload it to the server and insert into your post wrapped in code brackets. Please do not delete these code brackets. If you are going to upload multiple errors, it's recommended you select them all and drag and drop at once. If you do them one at a time, you'll need to be mindful of where the cursor is in the editor while you hover the file over the editor because if you drop it in the middle of a previously uploaded error, it will insert the new error text in the middle of it and make a mess of formatting. You should move your mouse until the cursor is outside of the code bracket then drop. You're of course free to type whatever you'd like to add to your issue at the top or bottom of the editor but not inside of these error and code blocks. If you wreck the post formatting, we are able to see the files you uploaded even if you delete the error from your post so don't stress about it.

More on the way.

Any idea why the site kept getting DDOSed? I can't see what people would have against it...

I'm not sure. I know they were originally targeting wikispaces. Whether that was just the wikispaces brand or specifically nraas I don't know.  Had I not done the redirects perhaps the past month would have been much easier. But we would have lost Google pagerank and so many legitimate users so it's bittersweet. As of recent they have switched to targeting this domain. I have no way of knowing  if they believe it to be an extension of wikispaces or someone really hates us. It could be a user we banned, jealousy, a desire to disrupt a resource, hatred of the Sims ... who knows really.
